Netherlands Attacker Dirk Kuyt Confident Ahead Of upcoming Euro 2012 qualifier

Liverpool attacker Dirk Kuyt has voiced his opinion aboutNetherlands coach Bert van Marwijk's decision to drop holding midfielder Nigel de Jong from the Oranje squad and added that the Dutch are still full of confidence ahead of their Euro 2012 qualifiers against Moldova and Sweden.

"The manager had to take the decision to drop him from the squad for these two games. It's very disappointing for him, as it is for us and for the manager. Because we are a team, we cling well together, but obviously Sunday's foul was bad and we therefore have to respect the answer from the manager," said Kuyt to
Radio Netherlands Worldwide.

"We still are a good team with many quality players. Unfortunately, Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben and Nigel de Jong aren't here at the moment, but we have to play with the players that are here now.

"We have lots of confidence in ourselves and we know how big these matches are: if we win these two games, we'll be well on our way to qualifying for the European Championships.

"The match against Moldova is huge. Away games are always very difficult and it'll be a tough game. But we have the team to beat them, so we have to be ready. And we have a whole week to prepare for it," he concluded.
