France coach Laurent Blanc had initially allayed fears that the injury was serious and, despite missing training on Tuesday, suggested on Monday that he would still be fit.
"The news is generally reassuring," he was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"As I could see, he took a blow to his ankle, which wasn't in a very good state.
"But after the first examinations, although his ankle is sore, there's nothing worrying."
