England Boss Fabio Capello Set To Call-Up Newcastle United Striker Andy Carroll For Euro 2012 Qualifier

The Three Lions play host to Zlatko Kranjcar's men at Wembley on October 12, with both sides on level points in Group G.

In fact, Montenegro could even go on top of the group before this fixture - albeit having played a game more - if they manage beat Switzerland on October 8 at the Podgorica City Stadium.

In the meantime, England boss Fabio Capello has problem with his strike force, as Emile Heskey's retirement coupled with injuries to Jermain Defoe and Bobby Zamora have reduced the Italian's options.

Gabriel Agbonlahor is yet to score a goal in the domestic circuit this season, while Carlton Cole has been having trouble getting a start at West Ham United.

Meanwhile, Carroll has gone from strength-to-strength in the top-flight, scoring four goals in six Premier League games thus far.

Now The Mirror reports that the 21-year-old is set to receive his first senior call-up ahead of the game against Montenegro.

Carroll was not named in the Under-21 squad that will take on Romania in a European Championship play-off.
